Volunteer Opening
Lobbyist (English, French, or Bilingual)
Egale seeks volunteers from every federal riding to meet with your Member of Parliament in person to establish a positive relationship and lobby as a constituent on issues that affect LGBT people in your riding and across Canada. Lobbyists also call and email about important issues when meeting in person is not possible.
Required Availability:
- as needed, potentially once or twice a year
Skills:
- pleasant and personable manner, in person, on the phone, and in writing;
- able to explain the issues to others and lead them to an understanding and compassion for the issues
Applicants Accepted:
- Canada-wide, with access to email and phone
