Volunteers Needed!

Egale Canada relies heavily on volunteers to carry out its mission. Volunteers across Canada devote considerable time and energy to Egale’s work in all capacities. Volunteers provide office support; maintain our computers, website, and listservs; translate our materials into English and French; keep our financial records up to date; provide legal services and representation for the litigation we are involved with; work on political lobbying campaigns; serve on a range of Egale committees; consult on a range of issues; do research; do fundraising; represent us at pride events; write briefs and position papers; write grant applications; and serve on our Board of Directors. Without the dedication and commitment of volunteers, Egale’s work would not be possible.

Egale Canada is always identifying new opportunities for volunteers. Many of the jobs are not glamorous, but all of them are critical in accomplishing Egale’s mission.

Below is a list of current open positions for volunteers. If you feel you have the skills to take on the position, we invite you to submit your name by completing the form linked to each job description.

We also invite you to add your name to our general list of volunteers who we contact when we need some more help.

If you feel we could use your volunteer skills, but your skills don’t match a posted position, we invite you to send us your pitch for the work you propose to do.

Egale has a very small staff of four employees. We count on our volunteers to be reliable, committed, and work with a minimum of supervision. We appreciate all offers to help, but we only have the resources to contact those who best meet the needs of the organization.
